Principal Selection

Dear Families & Community Members of Deep Springs Elementary,

This message officially informs you that we are beginning the critical process of selecting the next principal for Deep SpringsElementary. Families and community partners play a critical role in the success of all students, and we need your thoughts and participation to help us find the right person to lead Deep Springs Elementary into the future.

As part of the principal selection process, we will seek your input to build the principal profile that will guide our search. The process will also include gathering input from teachers and staff at the school. I encourage you and all stakeholders at Deep Springs Elementary to take an active role in sharing the school's goals and objectives and in identifying the attributes and characteristics you would like the next leader to possess.

Recognizing that everything rises and falls on effective leadership, choosing the next instructional and transformational leader for Deep Springs Elementary is critical to ensuring student success. As the superintendent designee for Deep Springs Elementary, I will lead the principal selection process. Every student deserves a highly effective staff and an effective instructional leader.

I will provide more details about the process, including a tentative timeline and opportunities for public input, next week. The principal position was posted on Monday, February 2nd, and the application window will be open until Monday, February 16th.
