Deep Springs Elementary Staff,
Thank you for your continued focus and dedication to the students at Deep Springs Elementary.
As a follow-up to my initial email, we have now begun the search for the next principal at Deep Springs Elementary. As it is important to keep you informed as we embark on this journey, I want to outline the process and the anticipated timeline.
Tuesday, February 11th - 3:00 p.m. Principal Profile Development Survey Form: An electronic Google link has been provided to families and stakeholders. The link will be open from: Wednesday, February 11, 2026- Wednesday, February 27, 2026
Tuesday, February 17th- 3:00 Principal Profile Input Session For Staff (IN-PERSON- Optional Faculty Meeting)
Tuesday, February 24th- 4:00 p.m. Special-Called SBDM Meeting- Principal Selection Process Overview/ Timeline, Confidentiality
We will hold input sessions – one for faculty and staff in person and another for families and community partners electronically, using a Google document. I will conduct the in-person session in the media center at Deep Springs Elementary, where staff will be present, and I will monitor electronic submissions from parents, families, and community partners.
Projected Timeline:
Members of the interview committee will include representatives from the School-Based Decision Making (SBDM) council. The SBDM council includes elected parents and school staff.
Monday, March 2nd: 4:00 p.m. Special-Called SBDM Meeting-Applicant Review: The interview committee will review the principal's profile of parents, staff, and qualified applicants.
Tuesday, March 3rd: 4:00 p.m. Special-Called SBDM Meeting-Screening Interviews: The interview committee will meet to conduct candidate screening interviews.
Wednesday, March 4th: 4:00 p.m. Special-Called SBDM Meeting-Screening Interviews: The interview committee will meet to conduct candidate screening interviews.
Week of March 9th: Finalist Interviews with the Superintendent
